Sound and the African Archive

2020/21 CKR Postdoc Fellow, Dr Thokozani Mhlambi gives a lecture at Michaelis School of Fine Art in November 2020 on Sound and the African Archive. The discussion focuses on how sounds from the African archive are quoted, used by different artists of different fields and for different purposes. Dr Mhlambi also speaks about his thoughts and ideas on Innovation and IP: the value of the African archive in filling the gap in world archives.
